Aerial advertisement

Came across a new way of advertising/promotion. First time paartha podhu "uhh..different-a erukke"-nnu irundadhu. There is a glider which flies at a comfortable height from the ground and it tows an advertisement banner. Trick here is, since it flies at a less height, there is no question of attracting the attention of the people and the font is so big that you can read it easily in its vicinity. And these guys tow the advertisement on special occations/events when there is large crowd.
Heard that there are quite a few restrictions on the height at which the glider/aircraft should fly for these kind of advertisement, the places where it shouldnt be flown etc.. Itseems sometimes they pull marriage proposal signs, birthday messages too.. Is it a copy-cat from cinema or vice versa??
Anyways I feel this is a novel idea.

Calvin and Hobbes

First cnh I read
I wanted to have my first post on my favourite comic "Calvin and Hobbes". It was a comic strip which was published in daily newspapers from 1985 to 1995 by Bill Watterson. It is still being repeated in lot of Indian newspapers everyday. It is all about a six year old kid "Calvin" who dislikes going to school, dislikes taking bath, wants to watch TV, play with his best friend "Hobbes". Hobbes is a stuffed tiger for everybody except for Calvin who sees him to be alive. Wikipedia gives a complete information abt CNH.

Browsing the expressions of calvin and hobbes is enough to make you smile. Rereading doesnt get bored. You will still enjoy it. In my previous work place, there was a colleague of mine who used to send one snippet everyday first thing in the morning. Missing it these days!! Will try to post favourite snippets now and then.
